What you’ll learn in this episode:
As we head into the final stretch of the year, most entrepreneurs make one of the biggest mistakes they can make: they tap out early. They assume their audience is distracted, checked out, or “waiting for January,” and they slow their business down right when buyers are actually the most ready to take action.
In this episode, I’m breaking down the four simple moves that will help you finish the year with money, momentum, and ease – without creating anything new, hustling harder, or overcomplicating your business.
If you want December to be profitable, grounded, simplified, and full of clarity, this episode will show you exactly where to focus and how to turn the next 3–4 weeks into your most powerful runway yet.
In this episode, you will learn:
- Why buyers are more ready to take action in December – and how to align your offers with their desire for closure and clarity.
- How to stay in the game by re-engaging warm leads and showing up consistently so your audience actually sees (and buys) what you offer.
- The three easiest profit levers already sitting inside your business that can generate fast cash without adding new work or complexity.
- Why launching something new in December rarely works- and how to repackage or revitalize an existing offer for quick momentum.
- How to create a simple “finish strong” or year-end alignment offer using work you already do, without building anything from scratch.
- A 5-10 minute action plan to get organized, identify your levers, and pull one profitable move forward right now.

Hello, my friends, and welcome back to the It’s Your Offer podcast, where we talk about strategies and systems that help you grow faster, earn more, and do it all with clarity and ease. This is one of my favorite parts of the internet here on the Internet Waves. And I’m so excited to be here with all of you to talk to you about the final stretch of the year. This is one of my favorite times, and I feel like it’s one of the most powerful times in your business. I also feel that it’s one of those times where people can really get off course.
make their life more complicated and slow down their growth. But after this show, I hope that you’re gonna be on the straight and narrow and I’m gonna show you exactly how to make sure that that does not happen. Because first of all, most business owners slowdown in December because they assume everyone’s checked out or they’re sort of racing to the year-end shutdown and all those things. But here’s the truth. This can be the most profitable and enjoyable month of your entire year if you know what to do and how to do it right.
So, in today’s episode, I’m going to give you four things to focus on, plus exactly how to take action so that you can finish the year with momentum, money, and a whole lot more ease. So, let’s dive in. Right now, people are not checking out. And I mean like mentally checking out, but they are checking out in their bank accounts and checking out in the store register and checking out in the payment gateway that you have when you show up.
In fact, they’re actually more ready to buy than they’ve been all year because they want to close these loops before January. They want to finish their year strong. It’s actually one of the most profitable, enjoyable months if you know how to harness that. So today we’re going to dive into how do you drive money, momentum and ease over these next three to four weeks? And plus, how do you do each one of those? Like what are those real specifics on how do you do that?
And I want you to stay with me until the end because at the end I’m gonna give you a tool so that you can walk out of here and actually do it right now. These are things that have huge leverage in your business. Do not take a lot of time and effort. In fact, they are the easiest things you can do to bring cash in the door between now and the end of the year and set yourself up for a spark and a sprint come January. So, I’m super excited to share all this with you. So right now, we’re entering that home stretch and when everyone’s tapping out, you’re gonna be tapping in.
Jessica Miller (02:22.316)
And your clients, they aren’t checked out. They’re actually seeking closure, clarity, and support before the year end. So, this episode is really a year end growth plan wrapped into four simple moves. Okay, so let’s dive in. Number one, stay in the game. Don’t tap out early. I know this sounds like so obvious, but you wanna stay the course. Many entrepreneurs take their foot off of the gas because they assume no one’s paying attention.
They assume they’re doing all these other things. People are distracted, but people are actually more ready to buy right now because they want to solve problems and they want to harness that momentum before the year ends. So, here’s what we want to think about when we think about staying in the game. Number one, you want to think about re-engaging your warm lead. So, when we think about these things that I’m going to share with you, we’re thinking about how do you uncover
the levers in your business that exist there already. How do you leverage those things that are happening in your business that you’ve already put time and effort into that are working for you, that are the closest thing to a sale and not reinvent the wheel, burn everything down, start something new, which is a lot of effort and it slows you down. So, one of the fastest ways to start this and really stay in the game is to re-engage your warm leads. Who are those people that you’ve talked to?
over the last quarter, maybe over the last six months, and they’re warm and they’re moving, and how can you bring them into the fold to talk to them about how you can help them and re-engage them when they’re the warmest people that you have actually been touching in your business. You could say something super simple, like a script like this. Hey, as you close the year out, is there anything unfinished you wish you had wrapped up? I have one to two openings for year-end support if you wanna cross the finish line strong.
you’re re-engaging those people, you’re staying in your lane, and you’re bringing them over that threshold to help them close out their year strong. Staying in the game, helping them stay in the game, do all the things. It could be that year end, like DM, email, it could be super simple. Invite them to tie up these loose ends before January. Help them get to that closure. Number two, staying in the game means showing up consistently. I know the sound, again, is so basic, but a lot of us were so kind of sporadic.
Jessica Miller (04:45.708)
you wanna be consistent over the next four weeks. So can you build a few things, take what you’ve already created, build those into something like a couple of emails a week or a couple of social posts a week, and then position this like if you wanna finish strong, DM me with a certain phrase or just reply to this email. But you’re going to consistently show up in front of your audience for the next three to four weeks.
These people love you; they’re following you on Instagram, they’re in your LinkedIn, they are on your email list. So, show up consistently in the next four weeks in front of them. People will buy the things in front of them and most of the time we don’t make the offers and that’s a big problem. Okay, so stay consistently in front of them. The next thing would be make one offer repeatedly, no hopping around. I mean, people get whiplash at this time of year, right?
You want to create stability and repetition. And when you do that and you are a grounded force and you stay on the straight and narrow and people see the same thing over and over again, not only does it make like the sales part and the messaging part so easily, but it actually promotes conversion because people are seeing this consistent and repeating, you know, message from you and information from you. So, picking off or going on that and just keep doing that. And
You know, weave in that urgency. Now, don’t make up an urgency. I hate that. But the best thing about the end of the year is like there is real urgency. Like budgets are closing. There’s last spots. Pricing might be going up in 2026. People are wanting clarity before the holidays or by the end of the year. Utilize that, okay? Really utilize it. So, while everyone else sits out the next three to four weeks, you’ll be the one collecting the money they left behind. It is right in front of you in your business. You just need to pull it forward.
So, you wanna stay in the game, leverage those things that are there and bring them to the forefront, which really simplifies your business and generates a lot of cash because that ease and that consistency and that streamlining is very powerful. So, here’s what I want you to do. I want you to create space in your business right now to get things organized and on point and get your head in the game. An important piece of this is deciding you’re going to stay in the game. You’re not grinding to the end of the year and we’re gonna talk about that too.
Jessica Miller (07:03.158)
You are like on a steady pace in the straight and narrow. And the more organized and you get the pieces in place and then you just go, you can just stay the course with ease. So, you want to get your head in the game. You want to simplify and focus here. That’s really the name of the game. So, sit down for five minutes. I want you to make a list of your warm leads from earlier this year. Like I said, it could be the last quarter, last six months. You know, it could even be someone that you had a conversation with even earlier than that. There’s no timeline, but make this list. Think of those people. Who are they?
What did you talk to them about? What could you circle back to about them that is personalized and offer to help them with the things that are in your court? Okay, so sit down, make that list. Choose one offer you wanna lean into for the remainder of this year. Pull together those assets that you already have. A great way to do this is like go back to your notes, like look at your Stripe account even or your calendar. Like what is that thing that you sold?
that’s selling really well, that it’s really enjoyable, that’s easy, that you can just put all your focus on. So, you wanna choose one thing to lean into, pull together the assets that you already have, because again, you’ve already done this, they’re there. Maybe you give them a slight tweak so that you can set them and forget them and go consistently through the end of this year. Don’t forget to cap it off with that real urgency. So, think about what is true for you and what is true for your clients. Are you having a price increase? Are you shifting something? Do you only have a certain number of spots left?
before you transition over into the next year. Make sure you’re weaving that in because the year is ending and there really are only a few spots that could be left before the close of this year. So, help someone think through that before they go off on their holiday and remind people about what clarity and closing the year out with a bow on it will do for them because that’s really what it’s about, right? We’re helping people create the results that they want, okay?
That’s the first thing. Stay in the game with those simple things. Number two, pull the profit levers you already have. I cannot say this enough. You do not need a new offer. You need to leverage the money that is already sitting in your business. If you have been listening to this podcast for a while, I am like a broken record. The easiest way to drive cash fast without adding any work or complexity is to leverage what you already have in your business that’s sitting there. And for those of you
Jessica Miller (09:27.436)
listening to this podcast, you’re a serious business owner. We don’t dabble over here on this part of the podcast internet. You’re serious. So, you’ve been doing a lot of things and many of those things are working well and you can leverage them. So, let’s make that happen. So, what does that look like? Here’s my three favorite levers and people have heard me talk about this. I’ve talked about this on the Nathan Barry podcast, you know, all the things. Okay, number one, where can you add a upsell or an add-on or a bonus?
Like what would make your clients lives easier and better in December? This could look like a VIP upgrade, a bonus call, priority support, you know, maybe like a higher tier, you know, carve out for one of your offers. You want to sell more to the people that already trust you. So, when you start leaning into how can we add things on to make this more valuable, you really like set people onto a whole different trajectory. And the great thing about
this for you is that they already exist there. You’re just bundling them up or you’re just packaging them in a slightly different way so that it increases the value and it makes their life better. It also increases your order volume and it makes you cash. So, it’s a great way to leverage what is already there. Another lever is reactivating or re-engaging your warm lead. As I talked about, like going back to those people in this quarter or earlier this year,
and re-engaging them. Like maybe they bought something from you, you know, where they need it again. Or someone said, yes, earlier this year, but sort of drifted off. You know, we have that problem sometimes, right? People don’t follow up or we just, it gets lost in the shuffle. you know, who were you talking to that was sort of in that funnel, but you need to pull them back in. That’s what we want to think about. So, who are those people? And again, like quick.
know, punchy scripts like, thinking of you as we close out the year, if you wanna pick back up and hit the ground running in January, you wanna pick back up with what we were talking about earlier, I have a few ways to support you. Let’s jump on a quick call. You know, are you free Tuesday at 3 p.m.? Super, super simple. I will tell you that on average, about 20 to 25 % of those types of messages turn into money. It is wild. And again, low-hanging fruit, they are sitting there, you already know them, you’ve already touched them, this is not.
Jessica Miller (11:50.976)
running around after cold leads and trying to get them to love you, right? They’re already in here. And third, one of my favorite profit levers is referrals. Like identify your happiest clients in 2025. Have you asked them for others people that they could connect you to that are just like them? Or people that they know that have really like, maybe it’s been really slow or maybe they’ve been really confused and they just need somebody to help them and they’re struggling. So.
Can they introduce you to those people? You can offer a very simple thank you, like a thank you gift. I love giftogram is one of my favorite things. If you haven’t heard of giftogram, if you’re listening to this message, it is so great. It’s basically you could gift people a certain monetary denomination, and then you go in and they get to pick out of all of these different gift cards. So, there’s anything from like a cup of coffee to like, know,
whatever, spa treatments, you know, and you can give them different amounts. I think it starts as low as five or $10. It’s so great. So, it could be something lovely like that. It could be like a Starbucks, you know, barcode, things like that, or maybe even a credit to do something with you. Like you could offer them a special something else. So that’s a great way to, you know, say thank you and incentivize people to connect you with others. Okay, so here’s what I want you to do. I want you to spend 10 minutes today.
to list one upsell, so one thing you could offer, bundle, bonus, whatever, three former clients, and three referral partners, okay? I want you to sit down, pour yourself a cup of coffee, go back to your notes for the year, or your bank account, like I said, look at your stripe, and look for those spikes and signals of what you sold that you might have forgotten about. What is something you added on that did great, or maybe during a launch or even a one-off?
that you forgot about. This happens all the time. Like we ran the thing, it was like awesome, or we did a certain something with one of our clients and it was great, but then we just like let it go, we just forgot about it. That’s the kind of thing you want to think about and look for in your business. And then you wanna capture that. You could even look through rosters of your previous clients. C is something like sparking your imagination with something you’ve done with them.
Jessica Miller (14:09.026)
But you also want to think about like, there someone who’s fallen off that you haven’t worked with in a while? Go back to your Q1. It wasn’t that long ago, but it’s something that kind of feels like forever ago, but it wasn’t that long ago. Go back to your Q1 and see if there’s someone you work with that only bought one of your offers and now’s a good time to offer them something new, something like that. For referrals, go back over the year and see like who were those rock stars that totally helped you out and who are working with the same ideal clients.
that you could send a quick message to them for a referral, ask for that introduction. Also, businesses that are your besties or your colleagues that are symbiotic. They may not be doing the exact same work, but it works together. You wanna reach out to those people and you just wanna ask them to connect you with somebody and aim to do three partners, three, ask for three referrals. This list alone can bring in 10,
to 50K this month. If you’re somebody, which many of the people that listen to this podcast are, where you have a higher ticket offer. You’re selling something at three to five K, you bring in two to three people, that’s $10,000 in the next four weeks. And not only is it amazing for you, and that’s so much momentum and creates so many amazing, beautiful things in your own life, in your business, but the impact you have on somebody’s year and on the year coming because you invited them back into the fold.
and you could do this so easily because these things already exist there in your business. It’s just about going out there and finding the easiest way to actually pull those profit levers and put these things in front of people, okay? So, 10 minutes, that’s all you need. The third thing, don’t launch something new just because it’s December. And I kind of alluded to this like you don’t need a new offer. But what we…
We see like Black Friday around everywhere. We are like, you know, it’s like the shiny object of like, I’ve got to put something like new that I’m building out now because everybody else is doing it. And contrary to popular belief, December is not the month to launch something brand new just because everybody else is doing it. I’m going to repeat that. December is not the month to launch something brand new because everyone else is doing it.
Jessica Miller (16:32.51)
New offers cost time, they cost energy, and they cost attention. And they usually don’t convert the way that people expect. When you see somebody who is running a focused, powerful, profitable business, and they are putting out a new offer in December, they have planned for it way before December has come. They’ve got it on point, it’s part of their plan, they have the pieces in place, it is not shoved in here.
because they think it’s a fast path to cash and because everyone around them is doing it. It is a premeditated cohesive part of their plan. In December, when you want to take something and you want to give it a refresh and generate cash, you can do that. But instead of creating something new, and this is the really important nuance, instead of creating something new,
The way to do this in December and give it that fresh feeling and create the momentum around it is you wanna take something that you have and you can repackage it or you can revitalize it. That’s the word I like to use, okay? The way that you do that is that you look into your business and you see what is working, what is already working that you could give a fresh spin on or you can like zhuzh it up. Maybe you can like
put an easy to deliver bonus, or you could carve a piece of it out, where then you like reinvent it, but you are not starting from scratch. The difference with this is you have data, you have brand alignment, you have the assets, you’re just shifting the positioning and the packaging of that, okay? That is different than I’m going to try to launch this thing at the end of the year that I’ve never launched before, I don’t have the data, I have to create all of these assets,
and it’s a much bigger lift. Okay, much bigger lift. So, the idea of repackaging what already works, for example, maybe you have your best-selling offer and it’s great and you love it and people are buying it and you wanna take that offer and do a limited time launch where you add on a small, easy to deliver bonus, right? Like maybe it’s that workshop that you’ve had that everyone loves to buy and you add on, you know,
Jessica Miller (18:56.492)
a special like momentum call as an added bonus for people that buy this thing before the end of the year as an example. Or you could take that same like bestselling offer and maybe you offer like a fast start version of this offer or a carve out of one of your offers that you could just sell to people now. It could even be delivered in January. It doesn’t have to be all in at the end of the year, but you’re rolling it out now.
So that’s an example of how you can repackage what already works. And again, you already have, you’ve got the messaging, you’ve got the assets, the thing is built. You’re not doing this all over again. You’re repackaging and repositioning what is already there. And you are doing it from the perspective of looking in your business at where’s the rubber hitting the road, what is already working, and how can I leverage that easily and position it and put it out there now.
The other thing that you could also do is you could simplify the pathway to sales. And this kind of actually links back to what we were talking about, about like leaning into one offer. When you make it easy for people to buy, when you put something out there and you make it super simple for them to consume that thing, know, find out the information, put it on the front page of your website, like you’re taking something that already exists, but you are now
making it simple for them to buy it. So, it could be the thing that’s in all of the emails that you’re sending out, or it could be the thing that’s highlighted on your social media, or it could be the pop-up on the front page of your website. But you’re removing all those pieces of decision fatigue. And there’s one CTA, and they can go in and get it immediately. And again, this kind of wraps into what I was saying before about like, if you’re leaning into one offer, make it all about that. All your core…
call to actions, all the things are on that thing for the next four weeks. And also, when it comes to like levers, one of the most powerful levers that you want to make sure you’re pulling and you’re protecting are your energy. There’s a lot going on at the end of the year. And the most powerful thing that you can do in your business outside of some of the things that we just talked about is protecting your energy. And when you take something that’s already existing and it’s already working,
Jessica Miller (21:18.538)
and you give it a refresh and you put it out there and you don’t launch something brand new, you buy back so much of your time and energy. You want to spend your holidays enjoying not recovering from a frantic offer sprint that didn’t even perform. Your January will be stronger if you don’t burn yourself out chasing cash in December with a new offer that’s never been sold before, okay?
So, here’s what I want you to do. I want you to look for your most profitable offer. Your most profitable move right now is using what already works, not building something new from scratch. I want you to think back to a time this year when things felt in flow, when you were doing those things that were working with the people that they were working with. What was it? What did they love? What was going on? Maybe you journaled about it. Maybe you wrote it down in a book or, you know,
put some notes in your calendar. Maybe those, know, transcripts from Fireflies or Fathom are the thing you need to go tap into. But I want you to go to those places. Maybe you even treated yourself to a celebratory meal or something special because you totally knocked it out of the park around one of these things. Those are the things you want to uncover. And I want you to go back to that time and see what you were doing. See what you were doing. And total like side note, this is like going off the reservation a little bit, but
I think one of the best things that you could do for yourself if you don’t do this normally is when you are winning, you need to document what you’re doing. If you signed a bunch of clients, if you go back in your notes and you signed a bunch of clients in June, what were you doing at that time that created that result? In the future, you want to capture what is happening in that moment when it’s happening. Because then when you do the same exercise at the end of next year,
you will be able to see exactly where those spikes were, where you were in flow, and what was creating that. But there’s a lot of information just like sitting there, even if you didn’t specifically journal about it or write it down or write down all the pieces. But a best practice is capture this, debrief it. I do this with all my consulting clients. When they have a launch or we do something that we’re focusing on, we always debrief. What worked? What didn’t work? What was going on? What were the assets? How did they perform?
Jessica Miller (23:42.755)
so that it’s very easy for us to then recreate that very simply. So, you wanna go back to that and see what you’re doing. And then, think about those things. How can you pull them forward? Maybe it’s something that people always buy that you loved delivering. Can you give it a fresh wrapping and a look to create that fast start version or that year end version? It’s not new, it is your offer re-imagined for the person wanting to buy it right now.
That is where you want to look. So again, 10 minutes to do this. Okay. And then last but not least, I love to call this the December advantage. And when we think about human psychology and we think about endings, like year ends, these crossovers, these transitions, there’s a psychological thing that happens for people. And those, things that come to my mind that are really powerful at the end of the year is often that like people want closure.
They want closure in December. They want closure at the end of the year. They want to solve problems before they cross over and transition into this new year. People want to feel like they’re ready in January. They want to like walk into January with a plan so they’re like sort of like locked and loaded. It’s also a time where kind of like what we’re talking about here, people are reflecting, they’re looking back on their year and they’re open to support and guidance around how to
come close out this part of their year and part of their life and move on to the next. There’s also those things that we talked about earlier where there’s budgets that are closing and there’s sort of this use it or lose it mentality, especially if you’re in a corporate environment. So, all of these things are happening around closure and year end. Like we’re gonna zero out their books. We wanna tie everything up with a bow. We wanna feel like we’ve completed something and that we’re ready and we know what to do going into this next phase.
of our life. So, one way that you as a business owner can really take advantage of this is you can create a simple sort of like year-end or wrap up type of an offer. What I mean by this is every single one of us has their lane or things that they help people with. And one of the ways to capitalize off of this human psychology of closure
Jessica Miller (26:09.376)
is to take what you help people with and package it into something that’s going to help them end their year strong. Close it up, tie up those loose ends, get clarity, get aligned, create a quick plan so that they’re ready for 2026 type of a thing. So that type of an offer can be really, really powerful. And what it does is it helps people tie this thing up with a bow.
close the year out, finish strong. It’s something that you can go back to your past clients, your warm leads, people out there, even your cold market who might be wanting to get support from you, maybe they haven’t worked with you before, but you’re taking the thing you already have expertise in, the work you already do, and you’re putting together this package with the focus of closure and alignment and clarity.
and ending the year strong and starting the next one new. It could look like something like just, know, ideas of year end alignment sessions. It could be like a 2025 year-end planning call. It could even be a 2026 planning call. It could be a clarity session. It could be a finish strong like workshop. I used to actually hold a one-day workshop called the fourth quarter comeback, which was basically just bringing people together.
and focusing on growth and making money in this fourth quarter with the time that we had left and just a way for them to find those quick wins to get out there and really feel good about how they’re ending the year, bring in some money and get themselves excited and ready for the next year. So how can you do this? Take some time, sit down, take 10 minutes and think about how could you package a bite size year
and offer with the work that you do. We’re not creating anything new. We are not rolling out a whole new system. We’re not, you know, working with people on something we’ve never done before. This is basically, it’s almost like a bite-sized piece of what you do with the year-end vantage point in your eyes, right? Front and center. And you just put that out there. It could be quick. It could be easy. And people will love you and they will thank you for it later.
Jessica Miller (28:36.63)
So, to wrap this up, December can be the most profitable and enjoyable month if you stay in the game, you pull your existing profit levers and you resist the urge to reinvent the wheel. How are you gonna do this right now? Here’s what you’re gonna do. You’re gonna go to the show notes and you’re gonna download the document that I have that is going to walk you through these four things that we talked about. It is going to…
help you self-regulate yourself to actually go and do the thing right now. Because as I mentioned earlier, this is a five-to-10-minute exercise. You need to get clear. You need to identify those levers. And essentially you need to pull one thing forward. That’s what we talked about here, right? We didn’t talk about doing all the things. It’s like if you could create clarity for yourself for the last three to four weeks of this year,
and you could pull one thing forward and create those simple assets that are gonna show up in front of people on automation so that they see you and you’re making that offer and you’re offering to help them and you’re re-engaging those people who are already hot and you’re helping them finish their year strong and feel good about it, energized, like they’ve accomplished something, like you’re in their court, like you’re helping them, that is where the gold is. And that is where the profits are hiding in your business.
You don’t need to do more. You need to do what you’re doing better, re-imagined. And this is the way to do it. So, I am cheering you all on. I am certain that if you just spend five to 10 minutes to do this, use that tool to help you stay in alignment, you will be thanking me and you will be singing your way into 2026 with ease, with joy, and with cash in the door, all while having a big impact.
on your clients and who wants anything better than that. Until next time everyone, I cannot wait to see the momentum and I will see you next week. Take care.
